Isle of Palms Marina is situated very close to the gates of Wild Dunes Resort. The Marina is positioned on the northern end of the island and within a short run time out of Dewees Inlet into the Atlantic Ocean. Here you will find a full-service marina with transient dockage available.

Dockage rates vary based on the season. The prime boating months come at higher rates than the offseason or colder times of the year.

If you’re keeping your boat on a trailer, bring it along as Isle of Palms Marina offers a double-wide boat launch for public use. The fee is $15 in the summer months for non-residents.

For those who are staying dockside, Isle of Palms Marina offers private showers. Other amenities include a marina store, fuel dock, and snack shop. 

The Marina Store is stocked with fishing gear, bait, food, drinks, and supplies to clean or maintain your vessel.

What Does The Isle of Palms Marina Offer 

If you didn’t bring along your boat or don’t own one, it’s not a problem at all. The Marina offers full and half-day rentals on boats ranging from sixteen to twenty-four feet in length. Each craft in the fleet is equipped with a VHF Radio, chart, and required safety equipment. 

Depending on the boat you choose, the half-day rates can be as low as $195.00 or up to $375.00. Full day costs range between $325.00 and $550.00. Call the Marina and check on availability. The summer months will sell out quickly. Fuel will be charged on top of the rental fee. An excellent way to save some money is by renting between October and the end of March because they offer 20% discounts.

Can You Rent A Boat From Isle of Palms Marina  

To be eligible to rent a boat from Isle of Palms Marina, you must be over eighteen years of age and possess a valid driver’s license or passport.

If you’re engaging in fishing on either a rental boat or personal craft, remember to get the state’s saltwater fishing license. You can buy one by visiting The Department of Natural Resources.

Located in the same parking lot as the Marina is Tidal Wave Watersports. If you’re into the watersports side of things, take a look at what they offer. 

Wakeboarding, tubing, water skiing, kneeboarding, and skurfing charters are available. A certified Coast Guard Captain will run the boat for you and your friends and family. Beginner or pro, they have you covered. 

Up to six guests my board the boat for a charter. The rates vary based on the number of hours you will be out on the water.

If you’re not into boating but want to experience riding the waves, consider renting a jet ski. The company offers both guided “Safari Tours” or hourly rentals. It’s an excellent way to experience the gorgeous shoreline’s views. 

Prices are adjusted based on the day of the week. Normal pricing is when the jetski is rented between Monday and Thursday. Premium is considered Friday through Sunday and holiday weekends and also on the Fourth of July.

Nothing beats driving your boat to a waterfront restaurant. Check out the Boathouse at Breach Inlet. The restaurant offers fresh catch from the local waters with stunning views of the waterway. 

The adjacent marina has dockage available if you come by boat; however, it is limited to two spaces for boats with a maximum length of eighteen feet. Dockage is first come, first serve. Bear in mind that the dock can only be approached in medium to high tides. The beach located nearby is also an option to secure your boat. Anchor at the beach and walk over to the restaurant. 

The Boathouse at Breach Inlet is worth the trip. Come hungry and indulge in the freshest seafood around.
